Mt. Hope Cemetery near Waverly, Missouri in Lafayette County, MO Alternate name: Mount Hope Cemetery The Mt. Hope Cemetery is located to the west of Waverly, Missouri in the northeast corner of Lafayette County, Missouri. This cemetery is very old and many tombstones are difficult to read. Among the graves is that of Sebastian Poisal, a veteran of the War of 1812.The Mt. Hope Cemetery is located on the south side Highway 24, at the intersection with Sowers Road. The intersection of Highway 24 and Highway 23 is a short distance east of the cemetery.
